(TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)
I WANT ALL THE BOOKS FOR CHRISTMAS!!! I don’t have high hopes though that I get any from my family. (Thank goodness there are awesome blogging friends who gift books!)
- All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
When I rearranged my bookshelf a little while ago I noticed that I don’t have a lot of historical fiction books even though I always love reading them! Need to change that and this one seems like a good choice! (I mean, look at that cover!!!)
- Waistcoats & Weaponry (Finishing School #3) by Gail Carriger
I LOVE Gail Carriger’s books, especially this series (SOAP <3) and I don’t even know why I don’t own this yet.
- These Broken Stars (Starbound #1) by Amy Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
I wasn’t really interested in this until Judith wrote this blog post…
- Royal Assassin (Farseer Trilogy #2) by Robin Hobb
I just read the first book in the series and want to jump into the next one real quick!
- The Warrior Heir (Heir Chronicles) by Cinda Williams Chima
I loved her Seven Realms series and need more books like that.
- The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle) by Patrick Rothfuss
I guess this is a must-read for fans of epic fantasy… (and I’m going to read this with Amber in January)
- Eon (Eon #1) by Alison Goodman
DRAGONS!
Which books are on your christmas wishlist? Have you read any of these?
Mark Lindberg
So many good books. I really need to get to Gail Carriger’s series. They sound delightful.
Robin Hobb is also on my “Must be read” list, of course.
I actually like The Warrior Heir the best of all of Chima’s books. It has a certain raw drive to it that I just love to pieces. I think you’ll love it.
Wait. HOW HAVE YOU NOT READ ROTHFUSS? He is absolutely required reading these days, if you even want to think about being a fantasy nerd.
Personally, I’m getting (I only listed one book, and I kind of watched my mom buy it, so I know it’s coming.) Vicious for Christmas. It’s going straight to the top of the TBR, too. I’ve had so many people harping on me for so long about this one. And I’ll be buying myself some pretty Sanderson editions right after, at the BookOutlet sale.

THE NAME OF THE WIND! OMG I love this book and its sequel so much! It starts a little slowly but then BLEW ME AWAY! I really hope you love it! And I bought myself The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows because of THAT COVER but still need to read it ^.^! I hope you are able to get some of these!!
Happy Holidays!

I should read a Robin Hobb book — I have heard good things and have no real reason for not getting on that yet!

All the Light We Cannot See is also on my list! I really need to start These Broken Stars, so many people I trust have read and loved it, plus This Shattered World just came out today :)

Oh my I’ve just bought the whole Finishing School series, I’m seriously hooked on Gail Carriger. I’d love it if she came to England–I may fangirl, HARD! The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, I have this sitting pretty on my bedside table and I haven’t read it yet! I picked it up when I went to Texas and I feel like I really need to read it now!
I hope you like your presents, I’m definitely a poor girl now from sending presents to people LOL!
Happy New Year!
crini
Oooh, I would love to meet her! I love that she’s always dressed like from a setting right out of her books :D
Haha,I know what you mean. I feel like I should already start saving for next year’s christmas presents.
Happy New Year!
