(Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)
With a lot of my most-anticipated books of 2017 already out and/or read (ACOL, Everything All At Once, The Song of the Orphans, Waking Gods, Thunderbird, Strange the Dreamer), there aren’t a lot of titles left I’m REALLY excited about but a precious few that I would kill for.
The Tiger’s Daughter by K. Arsenault Rivera – THE most anticipated book right after ACOL for me this year
A Darker Shade of Magic, Collector’s Edition by V.E. Schwab – lying on the floor just thinking about this
Sea of Rust by C. Robert Cargill – The Martian from the POV of a robot basically
Autonomous by Annalee Newitz – a pharmaceutical pirate and a military agent with his robot lover
Sourdough by Robin Sloan – FINALLY a new book by the author of Mr. Penumbra’s
The Black Tides of Heaven by Jy Yang – cover love!
Paradox Bound by Peter Clines – hopefully as epic as The Fold
Mad Hatters and March Hares – a full anthology of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland retellings!
Star Wars – From a Certain Point of View – SW 40th anniversary anthology with an epic lineup of authors
Phasma by Delilah S. Dawson – A character from The Force Awakens that I’m really curious about
Honorable mentions because they already come out in June so aren’t supposed to be part of this list:
Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab – my most precious monster
The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden – gods and AIs in South Africa
(Also: The Raptor & the Wren (Miriam Black #5) by Chuck Wendig, which doesn’t have a release date yet but is supposed to come out this year.)
What books are you most excited about in the second half of 2017?

Autonomous is on my list too!

I love your list so much! The one I did with Sebastian only includes books we both want to read, so almost all of these are missing. I can’t wait for ODD and The Prey of Gods. I didn’t realize the latter one was coming out so soon! I really hope my library buys it.
I REALLY hope The Tiger’s Daughter lives up to our expectations! Same with Autonomous. I hadn’t heard of The Black Tides of Heaven, but that cover is gorgeous.
I completely forgot that we’re supposed to get another Miriam Black book this year. I want to read Thunderbird soon, but I still haven’t decided if I should reread first or not. xD

Great list, I already have most of these on my tbr. The Peter Clines is new to me so i just added that, thanks! Can’t wait for Sea of Rust! I just love the cover and I need to have a physical copy so I can stare at it:-)

Sea of Rust sounds pretty epic, I’d never heard of it before. Thanks for featuring it, I’ve already added it to my to-read list. Happy reading :)
