(TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)
I usually don’t have certain books in mind that I like to read in the winter but two weeks ago I suddenly felt the urge to read lots of Epic Fantasy books. Too bad I don’t own a lot of those and don’t want to go on a shopping spree (put lots of books on my wishlist though). Instead I’m just going for epic books = epic fantasy, books by favorite authors, epic settings and big books.
1. Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore
2. Fire (Graceling Realm #2) by Kristin Cashore
3. Industrial Magic (Women of the Otherworld #4) by Kelley Armstrong
4. The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
5. The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus #1) by Rick Riordan
6. NOS4R2 by Joe Hill
7. Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver
8. Lexicon By Max Barry
9. Shades of Grey (Shades of Grey #1) by Jasper Fforde
10. A Feast for Crows (Song of Ice and Fire #4) by George R.R. Martin

One of the things that I hope to do in 2014 is read more fantasy books so I’ll be adding some of these titles to my to-read list! I really want to read the Hitch-hiker’s guide to the galaxy as it’s one of the books on my Classics challenge.

Oh, I love the Heroes of Olympus! I haven’t read the latest book yet, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy that as well – I hope the series goes just as well for you, too! :D

High Fantasy ♥ !
I loved the first 2/3 of Graceling but found the last one kinda pointless. Fire is still on my TBR pile but I heard that it’s better than Graceling so that gives me hope! I loooved the first Hitchhiker’s Guide but although my Dad has them all at least once in German and once in English and I also have the box set, I’ve never come around reading them. I so need to change that! And ASoIaF \o/ ! You all need to catch up fast because l need people to talk to!

The Graceling Realm Series is one of the few High Fantasy books that I totally loved! I normally have a bit of trouble connecting to the story, but Kristin Cashore did a fantastic job imo. I hope you’ll like them, too :-).

I haven’t read Fire yet but I did enjoy Graceling.
Happy reading <3

Oh, I love The Graceling Realm Series. The story is well written, with engaging, fun characters. Katsa is fun to read about. I also loove Fire and Thorns Trilogy.

Amazing list. For some reason I’ve also been craving a lot of fantasy lately and most of my list is filled with fantasy books a few listed here. Must be the winter air or something :P A Feast for Crows was my least favourite book of the series but a lot of great things did happen in it but A Storm of Swords is by far my fave! Fire is also on my list and I do need to re-read Graceling soon! Great list :)

The Graceling Realm books are some of my favorite epic fantasy books. I think I pulled all-nighters while reading Graceling and Fire; yup, they’re that good! :)

I am so so so happy to see Graceling on your list — everyone should read this beautiful book!

OH MY GOD. This is like a list of all my favourite books! The Hitchhiker’s Guide is clearly one of my favourites! …although it occurs to me since you haven’t read this series you may not get my blog’s reference. But you will! Jasper Fforde is like a literary Douglas Adams in his Thursday Next series, so I can’t wait to read Shades of Grey. And the Graceling trilogy is definitely one of my favourite epic fantasies. I <3 it so much!

I’ve read the first book in the series so I got the reference and liked you blog right away :D
I wanted to read the Thursday Next series for a while now too and I already own the first one. Going to read that one sometime next year too.

Aww Liesl & Po is a very cute read. Lauren Oliver is such a brilliant writer. I haven’t yet started on the Game of Thrones books, but I’m considering a GoT rewatch over the Christmas holidays, hehe. Enjoy your winter books:)
