Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

(TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)

I was already struggling when putting together my March TBR but now it’s even worse. The Maze Runner Trailer is out and now I want to reread the whole series. I met Dan Wells at a signing last week and now want to reread all of his books (=6) too and with the last book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bones series coming out soon I also want to reread the first two books. Way to many books I want to reread this spring but I ALSO would rather read books I haven’t read yet to reduce my TBR pile… CHOOSING WHAT TO READ NEXT IS SO HARD!

TTT-Spring-TBR-1

Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence • The Lies of Locke Lamora by  Scott Lynch
Thief’s Magic by Trudi Canavan •
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor

TTT-Spring-TBR-2

The Lost by Sarah Beth Durst • Odin’s Raven by Kelley Armstrong • The Flight of the Silvers by Daniel Price
Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman • After the End by Amy Plum

If really hope I get to these books sometime these next few months. They all sound so good. The Way of Kings will be a long-term project and I’ll only read a few pages here and there but I hope to finish it this spring (I already started it).
When I started looking for more epic fantasy books some people told me to read Trudi Canavan. Now that I got this one for review I’ll finally do it! :D
I wanted to read a book by Sarah Beth Durst for quite some time but somehow I never got to read the one I already had even though every book she published sounded so good that I wanted to read it right away. With this one I’ll finally read my first one.
I’m very exited to read Amy Plum’s new book. It’s always weird at first when an author starts to write in a new genre. I hope it is as good as her first series.

  • There are just too many good books and too little time to read them! I hope you enjoy the books on your list!

  • My jaw dropped when I first read the description of Prisoner of Night and Fog. I’m really hopeful that it’s going to be as good as it sounds, although inevitably a little controversial.

  • My gosh! You met Dan Wells?! He’s one of my fave authors! The partials series is awesome, I expect Ruins to arrive at my doorstep any day now :) I have been wanting to read most of the books on your list as well… Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor especially!

  • How about you get yourself a Tardis, start reading, travel back in time after one month and keep reading? x) (This is how a Tardis works, isn’t it? Never watched DW before …)

I’m looking forward to Odin’s Ravens, too. :D Didn’t like the first one as much as Armstrong’s other books, but well … it’s Kelley Armstrong. And Norse mythology, and it goes quite well with the new “Loki: Agent of Asgard” comic and the new season of “Vikings”. xD (I sense a pattern there …)

Oh, and I really like your new blog design! Seems a little bit warmer than before and I really like that. :D (Not that would be the most important opinion, but I guess you like it, too. xD)

  • I can’t wait to read Prisoner of Night and fog :) I really like historical fiction, especially with such a fascinating promise. After the end sounds good too.

  • The Lies of Locke Lamora and The Way of Kings are great! I can’t wait for Dreams of Gods & Monsters!

  • Awesome list :D I also need to read a few of these; like After the End :) Hope you’ll love them all!
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog a while ago. <3

  • YES YES YES. I really want to read Lies of Locke Lamora too. So badly. SO BADLY. Ugh. The Lost sounds AMAZING, and I’m also really excited for After the End.

Too many books! So little time!!
