Top Ten Popular Authors I’ve Never Read

Authors I’ve never read but want to:

Top-Ten-Authors-1

Rainbow Rowell | Jackson Pearce | Melina Marchetta

Top-Ten-Authors-2

Richelle Mead | Philip Pullman | Lois Lowry

I know, I know. I should read a Rainbow Rowell book. Everyone LOVES her books. But I want to be in the right mood for that and these past few months I just haven’t been in the mood for contemporaries. Melina Marchetta is on my list because I want to read more epic fantasy series and Finnikin of the Rock sounds awesome.  And why haven’t I read any book by Jackson Pearce yet? I don’t know! I own two of her books but somehow there are always other books that are more important. SOMEDAY I will get to them! I’m not sure how to feel about Richelle Mead. I own 6 of her books (of three different series)…. yeah, don’t ask! I’ll get to those someday too. Lois Lowry is of top priority. When the new boxed set comes out this year I’m finally going to read The Giver! And once I made a dent in my tbr pile I’ll get Philip Pullman’s series too!

Author I’ve never read and probably never will:

Top-Ten-Authors-3

Lauren Kate | Simone Elkeles | Sarah Dessen | Meg Cabot

That Lauren Kate’s stories don’t appeal to me aside, that lady freaked me out a little with her teardrop story that I heard when I saw her last year at a book fair. No thank you!
These other three authors with their contemporaries just don’t appeal to me either. It’s not the genre, that’s just a coincidence but I can’t really tell why I don’t want to read their stories.
