July has been more obsess-over-TV-shows and less read-all-the-books. The Flash and Stranger Things have taken over my life and all I want to do is re-watch those shows, watch SDCC panels, and besides work, that didn’t leave as much time for reading as I usually have. I was also in a weird mood because all books I started besides my precious re-reads during the last two weeks were kinda meh, especially Gemina, one of my most anticipated releases, which made me want to pick up a book even less. I did read SOME great books though.Read More
April was all about The Raven Cycle because The Raven King came finally out. I think it hasn’t really hit me yet that it is actually over. I keep re-reading the series, I keep thinking about the series, I keep talking about the series and it just doesn’t feel like the end just yet because I’m still right in the middle of it, kind of. At the same time I’m super emotional though BECAUSE it is the end. Basically, my feels are all over the place and I don’t know what to do with myself these days.Read More
I’ve done all kinds of recaps before and always ended up not doing them anymore because after some time I didn’t like them anymore. Every single month I thought about how to start doing monthly recaps again but I was lacking ideas on how to set it up and then it was too late to write them anyway. Somehow my own recaps always seemed so boring compared to others.
A new year always comes with a burst of motivation though, so here I am again, doing a monthly recap. This time I thought about only focusing on the positive and lists all kinds of favorite things of the month, meaning I will not only included books, but also other things, which is a first for me, so I’ll have to experiment a little with what I want to include.
In case you didn’t know, I’m a little obsessed with spreadsheets and getting all kinds of statistics about the books I read. So without further ado, these are my stats for 2015:
It’s time to wrap up 2015! It was another amazing year in terms of reading (and making bookish friends! the thing I’ll cherish the most when looking back at 2015) and even though I can’t believe it’s over already, I’m also very excited to start a new year (new spreadsheets and awesome releases for the win!).
This year I’ll make it easy for myself and participate in Jamie’s End of Year Survey. I mostly limited myself to books that I read for the first time this year, or I would answer every question with one out of my few all-time favorites.
